Like Mama

‘Like Mama’ depicts a mother and daughter sitting side-by-side. Both are illustrated abstractly but accurately enough to understand that both wear stern and serious facial expressions. Palmer uses politically-charged magazine clippings to take us back in time to 1962 and the battle for civil rights that engulfed the black experience at that critical juncture in American history.
