“Morro Da Villa” intersperses thick acrylic paint with magazine clippings and black streaks to depict the complex structural makeup of the favela.

One of four of our Gallery’s Morro series pieces, this sequence of multi-media masterpieces illustrates in intricate detail the criss-crossed layering of concentrated depth of the favelas near Rio De Janiero, where Silva spent his childhood.
