Blending acrylic paint and newspaper clippings with corrugated cardboard, Ernani Silva transports us to his native favelas with Morro Do Galo. The largest of his Morro series pieces, his childhood neighborhood comes to life with skillfully-layered colors and textures.

One of four of our Gallery’s Morro series pieces, this sequence of multi-media masterpieces illustrates in intricate detail the criss-crossed layering of concentrated depth of the favelas near Rio De Janiero, where Silva spent his childhood.
